Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely delicious! I had the chicken-fried chicken with white pepper gravy, mac and cheese, and collard greens, and I ate every single bite. Everything was comforting, flavorful, and authentically Southern. Quan was my server, and he was incredibly kind and attentive, he even brought me some of the flavorful broth from the vegetables to enjoy with my cornbread, which was such a thoughtful and delicious recommendation. Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. A perfect meal during my first visit to Atlanta!

Food is exceptional! Best fried chicken and mac and cheese ive had in a while! Whipped potatoes, collard greens and shrimp and grits couldve used a little more seasoning for my taste. First time having tomato pie and it was great! Bread pudding was good. Maybe a little too sweet. They give you complementary bread/cornbread for the table. And there is complementary sweet tea in the waiting foyer (which was also excellent). Peach martini ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mary Mac’s Tea Room feels like stepping into a piece of Atlanta history. The restaurant has that rare old-school Southern atmosphere that immediately feels authentic rather than manufactured for tourists. From the classic decor to the busy dining rooms and long-standing reputation, you can understand very quickly why this place has become such an institution over the years. There was a big queue when I arrived, which usually says a lot, and thankfully it lived up to the reputation. The energy inside is warm, busy, and full of character. It feels like generations of families, locals, and visitors have all passed through the same doors for comfort food and conversation. You really get that sense of tradition the moment you sit down. The portions are also huge. Ordering “the special” gives you an incredible amount of food, and once you add the sides and extras it becomes almost impossible to finish in one sitting. Definitely a place where taking food home is part of the experience rather than a sign you over-ordered. The standout for me was absolutely the fried chicken. If you come here, that is the move. Crispy, flavorful, comforting, and exactly what you want from a classic Southern

Heard so much about this place so it was a must stop on this visit. The food was very tasty. We ordered ñ: fried shrimp for appetizer (came out nice and hot); had chicken tenders with fries and fruit (very filling); also had the beef stew with fried okra and mashed potatoes (large serving that was spread over 2 meals). The potlicker and cornbread was an interesting starter (appreciated the server inquiring about pork and making sure to bring me the option without pork). As though we didn’t have enough food, we had also ordered peach cobbler and cinnamon rolls and we very pleased with both. Our server Beris was super helpful and informative. He made the visit and us feel special. Great hospitality. Definitely worth trying again. Also want to shoutout the server, Trayvon, for his hospitality. Wonderful experience.

If you are visiting Atlanta and are looking for some delicious down home southern cuisine with friendly and attentive wait staff, this is the place for you!! We were visiting here to spend time with family and friends and this was the recommended spot! I am so glad we came here! The food was so delicious and the portions were just right. Our waiter Danny was very attentive and friendly. He answered all our questions and clarified any misconceptions. One way I measure the food for a restaurant is tasting their fries. Mary Mac's fries are fried to perfection and very tender inside! This speaks the same with the rest of their food there. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food and was not disappointed! If you are near here, give them a try!
